Tech, LLC (www.VOTechUSA.com), is rolling out the first vegetable oil conversion system for diesel cars and trucks that takes the uncertainty and guesswork out of running these engines on the renewable fuels that they were originally designed to use.
Skyrocketing prices of petroleum-based fuels have made alternative fuel choices more attractive. At the same time, concerns over environmental issues have spurred a whole new industry – cars that run on alternative fuels.
Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles are not a dream anymore
The topic "global warming" may be unpleasant for some people. However taking action to stop air polluting could be a pleasant thing to do for anyone. What can you and I do to help?
A few years ago, General Motors started making the electric vehicle. It was called the (EV1). The reader knows well what I am talking about. They did not sale the cars in the beginning. They wanted to test it first by leasing it out. The car was a beauty. Then all of sudden without giving any explanation to the public, General Motors terminated the leases and went ahead and destroyed the EVE1s. I never knew why they did such a thing, but they did it. The reason could have been "jobs", or the oil companies had something to do in stopping the EV1 distribution. The fact is that I still am a gasoline junkie until now.
eCycle - hybrid motorcycle
Are you looking for new motorcycle prices?
Do you think hybrid technology applies only to cars? you are wrong! eCycle is a company that has already extent hybrid technologies to motorcycles.
eCycle is located in Temple , PA and has invested in developing a line of unique brushless motors and generators.
For decades, brushless motors have been recognized as an advanced technology that converts power more efficiently and more reliably than conventional motors. eCycle has focused its efforts on producing efficient, commercially viable brushless motors and generators, and the related electronics, in the 1 -10kW performance range.
Hybrid Vehicles - The Energy Wave of the Future
A vehicle that operates by using an electric motor either on its own or in tandem with an internal combustion engine is commonly referred to as a 'hybrid' vehicle. Operating with a re-chargeable battery that propels the vehicle without assistance from the engine, hybrid vehicles transfer their power from fuel propulsion to electrical via chemical energy held in storage with rechargeable battery packs.
Their dual ability of transferring power from a fuel source to electric power allow hybrid vehicles to provide a much lower rate of fuel consumption for operating than that provided by conventional vehicles. In addition, because most hybrid vehicles are designed with smaller engines, fuel consumption is greatly reduced.
Twelve Greenest Cars Named
The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) has recently named the twelve cleanest cars in the US today. The agency named the best fuel efficient cars in the market today to aid consumers who are in the market for a car that will give them great fuel economy and would be able to take a part in the drive to protect the environment.
For ten years, the council has compiled the twelve greenest cars for every model year. And for only the second time in the history of the council, every single car included in this year's list comes from Asian car makers. The list also featured four new models which show the increasing number of green cars being produced. The reason mainly is the rising prices of gasoline and the increasing environmental awareness in the public.
Fuel Efficient Cars
The recent developments with the correlation with global warming and carbon emissions from cars, has prompted large car companies to rethink their strategies and technologies when it comes to selling cars.
With people's choices tending towards environmentally friendly there is overwhelming evidence that the most popular cars are no longer the big V8's or V6's but the smaller 4 cylinder cars and especially diesel 4WD's due to their excellent fuel efficiency. However, hybrid vehicles are also becoming a popular choice for those serious about saving money on fuel.
Fewer and fewer "big 6" cars are being bought and those car companies specializing in this area are putting more and more resources into increase the technology within these bigger engines. Pretty soon we will see big engine cars that have the same fuel economy as the 4 cylinder vehicles we see now.
